DJ DEADLOCK

Hailing from North London, DJ Deadlock cut his teeth on the Squat Party scene in and around the capital. Deadlock was a regular floor-filler with Kingbeat Soundsystem, Negusa Negast, Dekked, Iffe Sound System, Acme Soundz and the legendary Unsound System.

In early 2002 Deadlock was the runner-up in the ATM/Trouble On Vinyl 'Wanna
be the best Competition' and began to venture outside the capital playing big nights in Brighton's C2, Ocean Rooms, Pressure Point and Funky Buddah. He has also featured at the Lakota in Bristol. Deadlock continues to play further afield with recent gigs as far flung as Switzerland, Poland, France, Sardinia and Italy. Deadlock held down a residency at Killa Kella's SplitKingdom at Herbal and has also been resident with Unsound for 7 years. You can catch Deadlock live throughout Europe playing with the likes of Grooverider, Andy C and Nicky Blackmarket.

Deadlock has been a regular on the UK airwaves since joining Ruud Awakening in 2003. In 2005, after 2 years fronting a primetime show with mc Ishu, Deadlock switched to Origin 95.1FM. Deadlock's current show hits the airwaves every Tuesday night from 10pm - midnight (gmt), also live on the web www.origin951fm.com.
